Okay, they announced the nominees for Emmy awards today.
What a fucking cock-up!
DRAMA SERIES
"Deadwood"
"Lost"
"Six Feet Under"
"24"
"The West Wing"
What business to "The West Wing" and "24" have on this list THIS year? Seriously? Where's "The Shield"? "Nip/Tuck"? "Rescue Me"? I mean, JEEZ! I'm a fan of "24" and would call the writing on this year's show just above abyssmal!
COMEDY SERIES
"Arrested Development"
"Desperate Housewives"
"Everybody Loves Raymond"
"Scrubs"
"Will & Grace"
Only one problem with this list. "Will & Grace". What the FUCK is this show being nominated for ANYTHING for? It has, excuse me, BLOWN CHUCNK for about three years now! I was a huge fan of the show from day 1, and even I have dropped it from my "Must See" viewing. Ever since, you know, they gave Jack a slight bit of brain, Karen a small bit of soul, and turned Will & Grace INTO Karen & Jack.
ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
"Arrested Development," Jason Bateman
"Everybody Loves Raymond, Ray Romano
"Monk," Tony Shalhoub
"Scrubs," Zach Braff
"Will & Grace," Eric McCormack
Eric McCormack? REALLY? I would have nominated Tom Poston for his role as the clown in the closet on that mid-season replacement before giving McCormack a nod.
ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
"Boston Legal," James Spader
"Deadwood," Ian McShane
"House," Hugh Laurie
"Huff," Hank Azaria
"24," Kiefer Sutherland
You HAVE to be fucking KIDDING me, right? James Spader, Hank Azaria AND Kiefer? Where's Peter Krause? Where's one last nomination for Noah Wylie? How about Julian MacMahon or Dylan Walsh or Matthew Fox? WHERE IS FUCKING MICHAEL CHIKLIS?!?!?!
ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES
"Desperate Housewives," Marcia Cross
"Desperate Housewives," Teri Hatcher
"Desperate Housewives," Felicity Huffman
"Everybody Loves Raymond," Patricia Heaton
"Malcolm in the Middle," Jane Kaczmarek
Man... Makes you feel REAL bad for the one Housewife that DIDN'T get a nom, huh?
ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
"Alias," Jennifer Garner
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," Mariska Hargitay
"Medium," Patricia Arquette
"The Shield," Glenn Close
"Six Feet Under," Frances Conroy
You know, I'd think they got this right... You COULD have maybe gotten Joely Richardson in there, though...
SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
"Arrested Development," Jeffrey Tambor
"Entourage," Jeremy Piven
"Everybody Loves Raymond," Peter Boyle
"Everybody Loves Raymond," Brad Garrett
"Will & Grace," Sean Hayes
AGAIN with "Will & Grace"? ON one of the show's weakest season's ever? How about... How about Will Arnett or TOny Hale or David Cross from "Arrested Development"? Come ON!
SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES
"Boston Legal," William Shatner
"Huff," Oliver Platt
"Lost," Naveen Andrews
"Lost," Terry O'Quinn
"The West Wing," Alan Alda
William Shatner. No, I'll say it like Wil would. William-FUCKING-Shatner?!?! You DUMB FUCKING MORONS?!?!?! How about John C. McGinley!?!?!
SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES
"Arrested Development," Jessica Walter
"Everybody Loves Raymond," Doris Roberts
"Two And A Half Men," Holland Taylor
"Two And A Half Men," Conchata Ferrell
"Will & Grace," Megan Mullally
AGAIN with "Will & Grace"! Grrrr! How about Portia DeRossi? Judy Reyes? Sarah Chalke?!
SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
"Grey's Anatomy," Sandra Oh
"Huff," Blythe Danner
"Judging Amy," Tyne Daly
"The Shield," CCH Pounder
"The West Wing," Stockard Channing
Admittedly, again, not bad choices.
And while I'm on a TV rant, a big assed BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! to ABC who shitcanned one of their better new shows without even giving it a chance, "Eyes" with Tim Daly. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

WHo is best suited to be Bond now that:
1. Connery is too old.
2. Brosnan is no longer going to be Bond.
Cause those are the two best, in order. All else were just pale imitations in my humble opinion.

Best. Show. On. TV.
Best. Cop. Show. EVER.
Nip/Tuck is supremely AWESOME as well. I'd put it in my top 5 shows on TV with "The Sopranos", Six Feet Under", "The Shield" and "Oz".

I'd like to see Sandra Oh win because she's Canadian. She's been acting for YEARS (see the IMDB bio?) and it took Sideways to launch her.
Canadians (at least, I) will always remember her in the role of teen runaway-turned author Evelyn Lau (Wiki entry).
As much as I love Braff (he never returns my calls *sigh*), if I had to chose one in the "Actor... comedy series" category I'd go with Bateman. I agree with you about Portia, and not just because she's the sexiest lesbian in Hollywood. Judy Reyes and Sarah Chalke also deserve to be there. They both gave a really good season. One of my favourite lines from Scrubs last season was a Carla line, in response to Elliot and Molly: "You just got schooled on rap by two of the whitest chicks in America."
Um, yeah... bed time.

I have dreams about being in a Carla/Elliott sandwich.
They are just toooooooo fine!
As for Sandra Oh?
She is one DAMNED fine woman!
